Frequently asked questions
Direct answers about TMBC
These answers cover the questions most prospective students and parents ask about attendance, tuition, academics, accreditation, and calling.
Is TMBC only for future pastors and missionaries?
No. TMBC has a strong missionary emphasis, but it is for believers who want to know God, become grounded in His Word, grow in the Body of Christ, and be prepared for whatever He calls them to do. Students may eventually become pastors, foreign missionaries, parents, businesspeople, teachers, church members, or bivocational servants.
What if I do not know God’s will for my life?
That is a good place to begin. Come like an empty cup. You do not need to force a calling or create an identity through what you do. Learn who God is, who you are in Christ, and follow Him one step at a time.
Where are live classes held?
TMBC has live teaching locations in Bryan and Magnolia, Texas. Individual classes and special events may also meet elsewhere depending on the semester.
Can I attend by Zoom?
Yes. Out-of-town students may participate by live Zoom, ask questions, and join discussion. In-person attendance is preferred when practical because of fellowship, mentorship, outreach, and local church life.
Can I take just one class?
Yes. Students may begin with one class, study part-time, or take a full-time course load.
What is the difference between Credit and Audit?
Audit students attend and receive the teaching without completing every attendance, homework, and testing requirement. Credit students accept greater accountability and progress toward completion of the full program.
How much does TMBC cost?
Tuition is $20 per credit hour, plus a $25 registration fee each semester. Full-time students receive 25% off tuition. Students who pay their semester balance in full by the first class receive an additional 25% off the entire amount then due, including the registration fee. A three-part payment plan is also available without the pay-in-full discount.
How long is the program?
TMBC offers a structured four-year course of study with completion pathways at the two-year, three-year, and four-year levels. Part-time students complete the same requirements over a longer period.
Is TMBC accredited?
TMBC prioritizes biblical fidelity, experienced pastors and missionaries, serious spiritual and academic standards, and affordable training. TMBC is about a call from God and a vocation, not merely an occupation. It seeks to reproduce a way of knowing God, living in fellowship with His Body, thinking through His Word, and going wherever He leads.
TMBC does not currently hold recognized institutional accreditation through a secular accrediting agency and does not guarantee that outside institutions will accept its credits.
Will credits transfer?
TMBC does not guarantee transfer to every institution because each receiving school makes its own decision. TMBC recognizes coursework completed through Maryland Bible College & Seminary, and TMBC coursework is easily transferable to MBC&S, subject to review.
Can students pay tuition online?
Yes. Students can make registration-fee and tuition payments through TMBC’s secure Stripe payment page. The payment link is available on the Tuition & Fees and Current Students pages.
How can I support TMBC?
TMBC accepts online donations through a secure Stripe donation page. Gifts help keep Bible-college training affordable and support teaching, discipleship, outreach, and missionary preparation. Give to TMBC.
What does completion promise?
TMBC does not promise a job, position, title, ordination, or salary. The goal is thorough biblical preparation, practical experience, a cross, a call, and tools to study the Word for the rest of your life.
Do I have to live in Texas to take classes?
No. We take sinners from other parts too! Students outside Texas can participate in appropriate classes live by Zoom.
