Student life
TMBC standards are an honor code lived “as unto God,” not merely when people are watching.
The purpose of these standards is to protect a respectful, serious, grace-oriented environment for learning, fellowship, and ministry.
Dress
Come to class neatly dressed in a manner becoming the man or woman of God He has made you to be. Untidy, disrespectful, sloppy, or immodest dress may be addressed privately.
Lateness and absence
Plan to arrive early so the heart is prepared and other students are not distracted. Less than fifteen minutes late is recorded as tardy, and four tardies equal one absence. More than fifteen minutes late is recorded as an absence.
More than two unexcused absences in a class may affect credit. Students should communicate in writing when unable to attend.
Food, drink, and phones
Water is welcome. Other drinks should be appropriate to the facility, and students should not eat during class. Phones should be silenced or turned off before class.
Academic honesty
Students may not view or use another student’s answers. Cheating, plagiarism, or unauthorized assistance may result in no credit for the assignment, examination, or class.
Facilities
Respect the property, grounds, classroom, and staff of every facility used by TMBC. Any issue involving a facility should be brought to a college staff member rather than handled independently with property management.
Doctrine and conduct
TMBC welcomes believers from different churches and denominations while teaching from its own stated doctrinal convictions. Students are free to ask questions and disagree respectfully, but may not sow discord, recruit other students against the teaching of the college, or use TMBC as a platform for division.
Local church participation
Students are expected to apply what they learn through active participation in a local church. Church life, fellowship, outreach, and practical service are part of the educational vision rather than unrelated extras.
